This treatment can be used for wrinkle reduction, facial asymmetry correction, facial slimming, improved skin texture, decreased sweating and so much more! Treatments take less than 5 minutes with very minimal downtime and results last up to 4 months.

Botulinum Toxin Injections

(aka Botox, Dysport, Neurotoxin)

Botulinum toxin injection (aka Botox, Dysport, neurotoxin) is performed to chemically denervate facial muscles for the purposes of facial rejuvenation and anti-aging. Repeated contraction of facial muscles causes atrophy of the overlying dermis and wrinkling of the skin overtime.

The treatment includes a detailed consultation to assess your muscle activity. The medication starts working by day 7 but will not settle completely until day 21. Neurotoxin longevity is dose-dependent but typical duration of action is 3-4 months.

Botulinum toxin has an onset of action of 2-3 days, peak effect in 3-4 weeks, and duration of 3-4 months. Consistent treatments may lead to muscular atrophy, thereby extending the duration of effects. Pauline currently functions as a Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice in the IL/MO area. While also being the founder of Aesthetic Essentials STL.

She has been in the healthcare field since 2008 (15 years). Her love for skincare and aesthetics grew during the pandemic so she decided to get certified in neurotoxin and filler administration.
